MAJOR EVENTS
Savanna Botanical Gardens has hosted many events of national impact stemming from the annual visits of the Governor of the North West province, the visit of the Honourable Minister of Environment and Forestry, Mr Silvestre Nah Ondoua and S.E Roger Albert Milla.
SABOGA has equally hosted several cultural activities. The shooting of movies like “The Peace Offering” and the launching of Francis Ateh's North West dance time. Some artists in the North West province have benefited immensely from the beauty of SABOGA as some of them have made use of the place in their clips.
It also hosted the youth rhapsody in August 2000, which brought together pupils and students in Bamenda and its environs.
Another event that is worthy of note, is the launching of the Herbarium that took place at SABOGA in 2003.
On the 17th of August 2005, the Government and the public converged at SABOGA to witness the transplantation of two trees that were 8 to 15 metres tall using the Dr Ngwa Che's cytogenetic surgery method.
SABOGA keeps on hosting major programmes in the country like seminars and mini conferences.
